eBrigade Access control module
Track entries and exits for your activities
The module records time-stamped entries and exits of your responders on activities in the schedule: the designated operator scans their QR badge from the mobile app. The activities offered for scanning are those in progress or starting within the window you choose (1, 2, 4 or 6 hours beforehand), and the log can be viewed on the activity page.
These buttons are about this optional module: add-on pricing and a 1-month trial of the module.
Time-stamped entries and exits at your activities: the designated operator scans the QR badge from the mobile app, records the entry, exit or final exit, and the log per person can be viewed on the activity page.
What is eBrigade’s Access control module?
Time-stamped entries and exits on your activities: the designated operator scans the QR badge from the mobile app, records the entry, exit or final exit, and the log per person can be viewed on the activity page. It is available as an option, so each organisation can switch it on as needed.
Why use Access control?
At an event or a training course, you do not know exactly who was present or at what time. Paper sign-in sheets are tedious to go through and, in the event of an incident, rebuilding the list of people present takes a considerable amount of time. Without a link to scheduled activities, check-ins remain cut off from the rest of your organisation.
What Access control changes in eBrigade
The designated operator scans the QR badge from the mobile app and records the entry, exit or final exit on the activity they choose. Each passage is time-stamped, the person is notified by email, and the log per person can be viewed on the activity page. Configuration is restricted to administrators.
What you can do with Access control
Each passage is recorded with its exact entry and exit time, creating a reliable access log without paper sheets: entry, exit or final exit.
You choose how long before its start an activity is offered for scanning: 1, 2, 4 or 6 hours.
Only roles carrying the “Access control” right can check people in, activity by activity, and only people signed up.
Check-in is done by scanning the QR badge from the “Access control” mode of the eBrigade mobile app; the person receives an email for each passage.
You choose the activity types whose page displays the log of entries and exits.
The configuration tab is restricted to accounts with administration rights, with records protected against forged requests and injections.
Step by step

Each passage is time-stamped: entry, exit or final exit. The person receives an email and the log per person can be viewed on the activity page.
Where this module really pays off
Training centres & apprentice training centres (CFA): record learners’ time-stamped entries/exits, linked to scheduled sessions via the configurable time window (1 h, 2 h, 4 h or 6 h before the start).
Fire and rescue services (SDIS) & operational buildings: track responders’ passages on sensitive activities, limiting checks to the relevant activity types only.
Events & security: track responders’ entries and exits, automatically linked to activities in the eBrigade schedule.
Events and sites with monitored access: know at any time who has entered, who has left and who has left the activity for good.
Frequently asked questions
How does a check-in work?
The operator opens the “Access control” mode of the eBrigade mobile app, chooses the activity, scans the person’s QR badge and records an entry, an exit or a final exit. The activities offered are those in progress or starting within the window you set: 1, 2, 4 or 6 hours beforehand. The person receives an email for each passage.
Who can check people in, and on which activities?
Only people signed up to the activity with a role carrying the “Access control” right can check people in, and only people signed up to that activity. You also choose the activity types whose page displays the log of entries and exits.
Is this module connected to the time clock or to hours tracking?
No. Access control keeps a log of passages per activity; it does not feed the hours count. With the Time clock and working time module, however, the same badge page lets people clock in and out at the start and end of the day.
What do you need to use it?
The staff QR code enabled (included feature), the eBrigade mobile app on the operator’s phone, and the “Access control” right given to the roles that will check people in.
Who can change the access control configuration?
Only accounts with administration rights can access the settings tab. An activity’s log can be viewed from its page.
