eBrigade E-invoicing module

eBrigade E-invoicing

Your invoices go out in the electronic format required by the reform, with no re-entry: sent from eBrigade quotes and invoices, with the status of each submission tracked, and the PDF sent by email stays the same. Invoices to public bodies — town halls, départements, hospitals — are recognised and checked before sending; direct submission to the public portal is on its way. This module is included in every eBrigade plan. Particularly useful for: business services, private security, event organisation, training centres.

Included in every plan

These buttons are about the full eBrigade subscription: this module is included at no extra cost in every plan.

E-invoicing

Your invoices go out in the electronic format required by the French reform, with no re-entry: sent from eBrigade quotes and invoices, with the status of each sending tracked, and the PDF sent by email does not change. Invoices to public bodies — town halls, departments, hospitals — are recognised and checked before sending; direct filing on the public portal is coming.

In short

What is the eBrigade E-invoicing module?

Your invoices go out in the electronic format required by the reform, with no re-entry: sent from eBrigade quotes and invoices, with the status of each submission tracked, and the PDF sent by email stays the same. Invoices to public bodies — town halls, départements, hospitals — are recognised and checked before sending; direct submission to the public portal is on its way. It is included at no extra cost in every eBrigade plan.

The problem

Why a PDF invoice will no longer be enough

For public bodies, this has already been the case since 2020: an invoice addressed to a town hall must go through the public portal, and in practice it has to be typed in again. From September 2026, an invoice between businesses will no longer be sent by email either: it will go through a platform, in a format the customer’s system can read. A PDF invoice sent as an attachment will still be readable by a person, but it will no longer count as an invoice in the eyes of the authorities. So the question is not whether to get on board, but which route your invoices will take — and how much re-entry that will add for a team that already invoices from eBrigade.

What changes

What e-invoicing changes in eBrigade

Nothing changes in the way you invoice: you produce the invoice from the activity or the quote, just as you do today. When it is sent, eBrigade also transmits it to a partner e-invoicing platform, which delivers it to your private-sector customer in the legal format. For public bodies, which use the public portal Chorus Pro (the French government’s invoicing portal), eBrigade recognises the invoice and checks it before sending — direct submission is on its way. The status comes back to eBrigade by itself — sent, accepted, rejected, paid — on the invoice itself. No exports, no third-party portal to monitor, no double entry: the invoice stays in the same place, it simply travels through the right channel.

Features

What you can do with E-invoicing

Sent from the eBrigade invoice

Sending starts from the document you already produce: accepted quote then invoice, with its lines, discounts, free-of-charge lines and VAT. eBrigade builds the message in the format the platform expects — you copy nothing.

A status that comes back by itself

Billit sends the status of each invoice back to eBrigade: sent, accepted, rejected, paid. You read this status on the invoice, next to the amount, without opening another tool or waiting for an email acknowledgement.

A check before you start

The connection can be tested with one button, before a single invoice is sent. Then the status of each submission appears in the invoice list: sent, accepted, rejected. You see what is happening instead of hoping.

Sent once, and only once

Each invoice goes out only once, however many times you click: eBrigade keeps a record of what has been transmitted. A duplicate send does not create a second invoice for your customer.

Your credentials, your account

API key, account ID and default VAT rate are entered in the settings. The Billit account remains yours: eBrigade connects to it, it does not stand between you and your provider.

The PDF still goes out

Electronic sending is added to the usual email, it does not replace it. Customers who read the invoice as an attachment still receive it, while the reform beds in everywhere.

How it works

Step by step

1
Enter your account details

In the module settings, you paste the API key and account ID provided by Billit, and choose the default VAT rate. A button tests the connection and tells you straight away whether the credentials work.

2
Check before going further

A button tests the connection and gives you an answer before the first invoice. Send one, look at what the customer receives and the status shown in the list, then carry on. Nothing forces you to switch everything over on the same day.

3
Invoice as usual

You produce the invoice from the activity or from the accepted quote. When it is sent, eBrigade transmits it to the platform at the same time as it sends the PDF to the customer.

4
Follow statuses without monitoring anything

The platform sends the status of each invoice back to eBrigade as it changes. You open your invoice list and see which have been accepted, which have been rejected and which have been paid.

Use cases

Where this module really pays off

Service companies & contractors: service invoices issued from the activity, sent in the legal format to key-account customers who already require it.

Private security, cleaning & events: invoicing of shifts to public or private clients, with proof of transmission attached to the invoice.

Associations and federations that invoice for services: agreements, provision of staff and first-aid posts invoiced to public bodies subject to the reform.

Training centres: agreements and session invoices addressed to client companies, without leaving the training file.

Organisations with several branches: a single e-invoicing account for all invoices issued from eBrigade, whichever branch produces them.

Module FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What about invoicing a town hall, a département or a hospital?

That is the other half of the module, and it is more urgent than the 2026 reform: public bodies have required electronic invoices since 2020, through the public portal Chorus Pro (the French government’s invoicing portal). eBrigade already recognises by itself that a customer is a public entity and checks the invoice before sending. Direct submission, which will save you typing it again on the portal, is on its way: you can already prepare your connection, which takes several weeks on the Chorus Pro side.

Is the E-invoicing module included in eBrigade?

Yes, the module is one of the included features: there is no eBrigade option to subscribe to. However, transmission goes through Billit, whose account and subscription remain in your name: eBrigade connects to it with your credentials.

What happens to my PDF invoice?

It still goes out. Electronic sending is added to the usual email: the customer still receives the PDF, and the invoice also travels through the platform. You lose nothing during the period when not all your customers are equipped yet.

Do we have to change the way we invoice?

No. You produce the invoice from the activity or the accepted quote, exactly as today: same lines, same discounts, same VAT. The only addition is the transmission channel, and it is automatic.

How do I know whether an invoice has arrived?

The platform sends its status back to eBrigade without you having to ask: sent, accepted, rejected, paid. This status is shown on the invoice, in the list where you already track unpaid invoices.

How do I check that everything is in place?

A button tests the connection and answers straight away, before a single invoice. After that, each invoice shows its sending status in the list: you send one, check what the customer receives, then carry on. The PDF by email goes out as before from day one.

What happens if someone clicks “send” twice?

Nothing unfortunate: eBrigade keeps a record of what has already been transmitted for each invoice. A second send does not create a second invoice for the customer.

Does the reform apply to us?

It applies to any VAT-registered organisation that invoices other businesses, including associations as soon as they issue invoices within the scope of VAT. If you are unsure about your situation, your accountant will settle it faster than we can.
