eBrigade Membership dues module
Manage membership dues without chasing by hand
See who has paid and who is behind, collect payments online via Stripe, PayPal or HelloAsso, and automate reminders and access restrictions. Amounts are set by section, on an annual or monthly basis.
These buttons are about the full eBrigade subscription: this module is included at no extra cost in every plan.
Annual or monthly dues per section, online payment (Stripe, PayPal, HelloAsso), recurring subscriptions or one-off payment, configurable SMS and email reminders, and login blocking for members who are behind. At network level, also manage dues between organisations: each member organisation pays the head of the network dues calculated on its headcount.
What is eBrigade’s Membership dues module?
Annual or monthly membership dues by section, online payment (Stripe, PayPal, HelloAsso), recurring subscriptions or one-off payment, configurable SMS and email reminders, and login blocking for members who are behind. At network level, you can also manage dues between organisations: each member organisation pays the head of the network dues calculated on its headcount. It is included at no extra cost in every eBrigade plan.
Why use the Membership dues module?
At the start of the year, the secretary spends hours working out who has paid their dues, sending reminders one by one and updating their Excel spreadsheet. Late payers pile up, reminders get forgotten and nothing really encourages a member to settle up.
What the Membership dues module changes in eBrigade
The dues list shows paid and unpaid at a glance, by section, by period (annual or monthly) and by payment method. Members can pay online by card, PayPal or HelloAsso, as a recurring subscription or a one-off payment. SMS and email reminders go out automatically according to configurable rules, and access for members who are behind can be restricted and then blocked after a configurable period. Across a network, eBrigade also manages dues between organisations: each member organisation owes the head of the network dues calculated automatically on its headcount (active members, sub-organisations included) multiplied by a rate per member — with calls for payment generated year by year and payments tracked organisation by organisation.
What you can do with Membership dues
Set the amount due for each section, on an annual or monthly basis. The frequency also determines whether recurring subscriptions are available.
Members pay by card (Stripe), PayPal or HelloAsso (a French online payment platform for associations). You choose between a self-renewing recurring subscription and a one-off payment.
Subscription cancellation on Stripe and PayPal, card changes for Stripe subscribers, and handling of refunds and rejected payments.
Schedule reminders sent by SMS and email a configurable number of days after the due date. Each reminder can have a subject, rich text and an attachment.
Restrict and then block login for members whose dues are unpaid, after a configurable period, with a custom warning message.
See paid, pending and overdue statuses, and each member’s payment history. The list of unpaid dues can be filtered by year and exported to Excel.
For multi-organisation networks, also manage the dues each member organisation owes the head of the network. The amount due is calculated automatically on the organisation’s headcount (active members, sub-organisations included) multiplied by a rate per member: you generate calls for payment year by year and track payments organisation by organisation.
Step by step
Set the amount due per section, on an annual or monthly basis, and enable the payment methods you accept: bank transfer, online card payment (Stripe), PayPal or HelloAsso. Choose between a recurring subscription and a one-off payment.
Schedule automatic SMS and email reminders triggered a number of days after the due date, with a subject, text and attachment. If needed, enable login restriction and then blocking for members who are behind, each with its own delay.
Each member pays their dues online through the channel of their choice. The payment is recorded in eBrigade automatically, with no re-entry, and their access is restored as soon as they have settled up.
The dashboard shows paid, pending and overdue statuses in real time, by section and by period. The list of unpaid dues can be filtered by year and exported to Excel for the financial report or the board of directors.
Where this module really pays off
Associations & clubs: annual or monthly dues with online payment (Stripe, PayPal, HelloAsso), automatic reminders and blocking of late payers — all from a single module.
Federations: multi-structure memberships with amounts set by section, a dashboard by status and an Excel export that can be filtered by year.
Networks & network heads: manage dues between organisations — each member organisation pays the head of the network dues calculated on its headcount, with annual calls for payment and payments tracked by organisation.
Volunteering & rescue services: tracking of volunteers’ dues with full history, an exportable list of unpaid dues and filtering by section and by period.
Organisations strict on collection: restriction and then blocking of login for members who are behind after a configurable period, to encourage them to settle up.
Recurring memberships: self-renewing monthly subscriptions with management of cancellation, card changes and refunds on Stripe.
Frequently asked questions
Are reminders sent by SMS, by email or both?
Both. Each automatic reminder is either an SMS or an email and is triggered a configurable number of days after the due date. You define the subject, the rich text and an optional attachment, and each rule can be switched on or off without losing its configuration.
Can access be blocked for a member who has not paid their dues?
Yes. You can restrict login for a member who is behind after a configurable period, with a warning message, then block their login completely after a second period. Access is restored automatically as soon as they have settled up.
Which online payment methods are available?
Online payment is made by bank card via Stripe, by PayPal or via HelloAsso, depending on the gateways you enable. The member pays directly from their own area and the payment is recorded in eBrigade with no re-entry.
What is the difference between a recurring subscription and a one-off payment?
A recurring subscription renews automatically at each due date (it requires monthly dues) and can be cancelled. A one-off payment settles the dues in a single payment. With Stripe, you can also change a subscriber’s card or process a refund.
Can different amounts be set for different members?
The amount is set by section, and can be varied according to the member’s profession linked to the section. Individual adjustments are still possible via the adjustment field.
Do the Excel export and the list of unpaid dues take filters into account?
Yes. The list of unpaid dues can be filtered by year and is exported to Excel using the filters active (section, period, paid/unpaid status) at the time of the click.
