What is the eBrigade Reporting & statistics module?
More than 70 ready-to-use statistical reports (age pyramid, participation rate, staff flows, activity reports) as interactive charts, filterable by section and period, with Excel export and KPI dashboards. It is included at no extra cost in every eBrigade plan.
Why use Reporting & statistics?
Answering a simple question — how many active members per age band, what the participation rate is per section, how headcount has changed over three years — often means exporting lists, pasting them into a spreadsheet and rebuilding a chart by hand. The figure requested by the board, the supervising authority or the general meeting arrives late, is never quite up to date, and the work has to be redone for every request. Yet the data already exists in eBrigade; what is missing is getting it back out instantly.
What Reporting & statistics changes in eBrigade
More than 70 pre-built reports (repo_* functions) read your data directly and display it as Chart.js charts: bars, stacked bars, horizontal bars, lines, pie charts and doughnuts. Each report can be filtered by section — automatically including sub-sections — and by period (date range or year), and, depending on the report, by activity type or skill. You export the result to Excel in one click. Reports are arranged in categories (staff, participation, training, duty, interventions, first-aid cover (DPS), equipment, membership dues…), each visible only if the corresponding module is active. An administrator switches reports on or hides them with a single button, reorders them by drag and drop, and sees each one’s usage counter. Consolidated KPI dashboards sum up the essentials at a glance.
What you can do with Reporting & statistics
The module ships with around 73 pre-built reports (repo_* functions) covering staff (age pyramid, length of service, length of commitment, male/female split, joiners and leavers), participation (rate, hours, summary per member), training, duty shifts, interventions, first-aid cover (DPS), equipment, vehicles, documents and logins. No reports to build: they read your data directly.
Each report can be narrowed to a section, automatically including the sub-sections in the hierarchy, and to a period expressed as a date range or a year. Depending on the report, you can also filter by activity type or skill to isolate exactly the group being analysed.
The chart engine renders each report in the clearest form: bars, stacked bars (for example by section or by type), horizontal bars, lines, pie charts and doughnuts. Values appear on hover, without reloading the page.
An administrator arranges reports in categories, switches each one on or hides it with a single button and reorders them by drag and drop. Categories linked to a module (membership dues, CRM, DPS, interventions, training…) appear only if the module is enabled, keeping the catalogue uncluttered.
Each report shows how many times it has been used. You can see at a glance which reports your teams actually consult and which ones you can hide, to keep the catalogue relevant over time.
Any report can be exported to Excel for archiving or sharing. Consolidated dashboards (activities, CRM) also bring the key indicators together in KPI cards with their charts, for an instant overview.
Step by step
From the export screen, you reach the list of available reports, arranged by category. Only the categories matching your active modules appear (membership dues, CRM, DPS, interventions, training…), so no reports without data are shown.
Select the report you want, then refine it with the filters offered: section (with or without its sub-sections), period as a date range or a year, and, depending on the report, activity type or skill. The chart is built from your real data.
The result is displayed as a Chart.js chart suited to the report: bars, stacked bars, horizontal bars, line, pie or doughnut. Hover over a series to read the detailed values.
In one click, you get the report in Excel format to archive it, send it to the board or include it in an official document.
Switch each report on or hide it with a button, reorder them by drag and drop and arrange them in your categories. The usage counter shows which reports are really used, so you can tidy up.
Where this module really pays off
Fire and rescue services (SDIS) & firefighters: age pyramid by sex, average length of service, length of commitment by age band and participation rate by section for the annual activity report and reports to the supervising authority.
Civil protection associations: staff flows (joiners/leavers per year), number of members per month and breakdown by rank or status, exported to Excel for the general meeting.
First-aid cover (DPS) & event medical services: number and type of DPS per year and per month, activity peaks and participation aggregated per deployment to justify the resources committed to organisers.
Training centres: courses passed per year and per audience, qualified staff and skills held, filtered by section to track the rise in qualifications.
Technical & logistics services: equipment and vehicle fleet by type, condition and section, and average fleet age to plan replacements.
Multi-department HR teams: activity participation rate, participation hours per day and participation summary per member, reported by team without re-entering data.
Frequently asked questions
Do the reports need to be configured or built before use?
No. The 70 or so reports are already programmed and read the data entered in eBrigade directly (members, participation, training, equipment…). You choose a report, apply your section and period filters, and the chart appears immediately. No prior set-up is needed to view them.
Can a report be limited to a specific section and year?
Yes. The section filter works at any level of your hierarchy and can include or exclude child sub-sections. The period is expressed as a date range or a year. Depending on the report, extra filters by activity type or skill are available.
What types of chart are available?
The engine produces bar, stacked bar, horizontal bar, line, pie and doughnut charts, chosen automatically for each report to give the clearest reading. Detailed values appear on hover.
Can the results be exported?
Yes. Each report can be exported to Excel in one click, to archive it, attach it to the minutes of a general meeting or send it to the supervising authority.
Are all reports always visible?
No. Reports are arranged in categories, and a category linked to a module (membership dues, CRM, DPS, interventions, training, recruitment…) appears only if that module is active. An administrator can also switch on, hide and reorder each report, and rely on the usage counter to keep the catalogue relevant.
Is reporting included in eBrigade?
Yes, reporting is one of eBrigade’s included features. It draws on the data already in the platform: the more you use the modules (scheduling, training, equipment, membership dues…), the more the corresponding reports fill up automatically.
