What is eBrigade’s Training module?
Training catalogue, sessions, refreshers, diplomas and FMA (continuing training), with automatically generated PDF certificates and alerts before expiry. Includes a gamified quiz engine (points, badges) and a video e-learning pathway with graded quizzes, anti-cheating and certificates with a unique reference. It is included at no extra cost in every eBrigade plan.
Why use the Training module?
Tracking each staff member’s training by hand means juggling paper certificates, refresher dates that fall due without warning and diplomas that can’t be found when an inspection comes. For organisations with dozens of regulatory qualifications (SSIAP, PSE, CACES, FMA...), the lack of a dedicated tool leads to non-compliance that can hold up operations. And building up your teams’ skills or keeping their knowledge fresh without an integrated platform means costly external tools disconnected from HR records.
What the Training module changes in eBrigade
The training catalogue, scheduled sessions, results per participant and refresher dates are centralised in eBrigade. Certificates and diplomas are generated automatically when each session is closed, and alerts warn you before each expiry. The Online quiz engine sends out illustrated multiple-choice questions at a configurable frequency and awards points and badges automatically to keep knowledge fresh. The initial training (e-learning) pathway strings together video modules and graded quizzes, with anti-cheating and a certificate with a unique reference on completion. In an audit, each staff member’s qualification status can be checked in one click.
What you can do with Training
Create your courses, refreshers and qualifications with their validity period, schedule sessions with a date, venue and trainer, and manage sign-ups. When a session is closed, PDF certificates and diplomas are generated automatically and attached to the staff member’s record.
Each staff member has a qualification portfolio (dates obtained and expiry dates, diplomas generated as PDFs). Alerts notify you before each deadline, and a dashboard shows who is up to date, who is nearing expiry and who has lapsed.
Send out illustrated multiple-choice questions organised into reusable quizzes that can be linked to skills. You set the number of questions per session and how often they are sent; a dashboard widget presents the questions at login, with the option to postpone a session.
Each question is worth a number of points; accumulated points automatically trigger the award of custom badges at thresholds you define. The badge earned can be overlaid on the staff member’s photo to recognise their commitment.
Sequence video modules (local file, YouTube or URL) with tracking of the percentage watched, followed by graded quizzes with four question types (multiple choice, true/false, free text, put in order). Minimum score, attempt limit and anti-cheating (detection of copy-paste, tab switching, loss of focus) are configurable, with logging or blocking.
Once all modules are completed, a certificate is generated bearing a unique reference (SHA-256 fingerprint). Dashboards show participants, sessions, average score, number certified and detailed results per staff member, and rights are controlled through granular clearances.
Step by step
Create your courses with their validity periods, refresher intervals and associated documents (FMA, certificates, diplomas). Each qualification is linked to the members concerned from their record.
Open a training session, assign participants and record the results at the end. PDF certificates and diplomas are generated automatically and attached to the member’s record.
Build illustrated multiple-choice questions organised into reusable quizzes, set how often they are sent (every X hours or X days) and the number of questions per session. A widget shown at login presents the questions; points and badges are awarded automatically based on scores.
Sequence initial training modules made up of videos and graded quizzes (multiple choice, true/false, free text, put in order). Set the minimum score, the attempt limit and anti-cheating; a certificate bearing a unique reference (SHA-256 fingerprint) is generated on completion.
eBrigade automatically calculates refresher dates and triggers alerts before they fall due. During an audit, each staff member’s qualification status can be checked in one click.
Where this module really pays off
Fire and rescue services (SDIS) & volunteer firefighters: tracking of PSE1/PSE2 (first-aid team member levels 1 and 2), SAP (casualty assistance), FMA and driving qualifications, with refreshers logged automatically for each staff member.
Training centres & apprentice training centres (CFA): session catalogue, sign-ups, diplomas and PDF certificates that participants can download.
Private security & SSIAP (fire safety officers): traceability of regulatory qualifications and refreshers, alerts before expiry, records available during an inspection.
Keeping knowledge fresh: gamified multiple-choice quizzes (points and badges) to maintain your teams’ knowledge on an ongoing basis.
Onboarding & internal e-learning: sequenced video pathways with graded quizzes, anti-cheating and a certificate with a unique reference at the end.
Frequently asked questions
Can refreshers and time-limited qualifications, such as PSE1/PSE2 or SSIAP training, be managed?
Yes. Each course can have a defined validity period. The module automatically tracks expiry dates and alerts the training manager before the deadline, for each staff member concerned.
Where are a staff member’s certificates and diplomas kept?
Diplomas issued by eBrigade are generated as PDFs from the course and remain available from the staff member’s record. An external certificate or a scanned diploma can be uploaded to the Documents tab of that same record.
How does the Online quiz module (continuing training) work?
You create illustrated multiple-choice questions, organised into reusable quizzes that the same question can belong to, and that can be linked to skills. You set the number of questions per session and how often they are sent (every X hours or X days). Questions appear in a widget at login, which the user can postpone but not skip, and a Results view gives statistics per quiz and scores per user.
How do points and badges work?
Each question is worth a number of points that you define. The points a staff member accumulates automatically trigger the award of custom badges linked to thresholds. You upload the image for each badge, and the badge earned can be overlaid on the staff member’s photo to keep up engagement.
Does initial e-learning training support graded quizzes and certificates?
Yes. You build sequenced modules combining videos (local file, YouTube or URL, with viewing tracked) and quizzes with four question types (multiple choice, true/false, free text, put in order). You set the minimum pass score and the attempt limit. Once all modules are completed, a certificate is generated bearing a unique reference (SHA-256 fingerprint).
Is there an anti-cheating system during e-learning quizzes?
Yes. The module can detect copy-paste, tab switching and the window losing focus during a quiz. You choose the response: simply logging incidents, or blocking the quiz on detection. Administrators have a log viewer (date, staff member, type, details).
