eBrigade Donations module
Collect donations online and issue tax receipts automatically
For a “loi 1901” association (France’s standard non-profit status) or a fire and rescue service (SDIS), seeking donations without a dedicated tool means processing every payment manually, writing every tax receipt by hand and losing track of donors from one campaign to the next. This module centralises online fundraising, generates tax receipts as PDFs, automates donor reminders and provides a dashboard with trend charts to manage each campaign and each funding project.
These buttons are about the full eBrigade subscription: this module is included at no extra cost in every plan.
Online donation collection, PDF tax receipts, donor reminders and campaign tracking.
What is the eBrigade Donations module?
Online fundraising, PDF tax receipts, donor reminders and campaign tracking. It is included at no extra cost in every eBrigade plan.
Why use Donations?
Collecting donations without a dedicated tool means entering each payment manually, producing tax receipts one by one, chasing donors individually and having no visibility of the campaigns under way. Some donors wait weeks for their receipt, and end-of-campaign reminders are forgotten for lack of tracking.
What Donations changes in eBrigade
Donations are collected through a customisable online form, received in cash, by cheque or online (HelloAsso, Stripe, PayPal) and linked to the donor in the database. Tax receipts are generated as PDFs and sent by email. Reminders, manual or automatic, go out by email or SMS, and each campaign is managed from a dashboard with trend charts.
What you can do with Donations
A public fundraising page with a fully configurable banner, button, background image and thank-you message, plus a success page. An embeddable button widget sends your visitors to this form from any external page.
Accept cash and cheques (with customisable instructions) or online payments via HelloAsso, Stripe and PayPal. Online donations go through a secure checkout, and the payment is recorded automatically on confirmation.
A configurable PDF tax receipt (organisation details, purpose, signatory, signature) is generated for each donation and can be emailed to the donor. The template is set up from the module’s dedicated tab.
Send reminders to your donors by email or SMS, manually or through periodically triggered automatic rules. The editor lets you compose the message, add attachments and keep track of your SMS credit balance.
Distinguish campaigns (appeals sent out) from Actions, your funding projects with a name, description and target shown on the form. Each campaign generates a QR code and allows a bulk send to the selected recipients.
Track counters for approved and pending donations, amounts collected and progress towards the target. Trend charts show donations by day, week or month, and each donor has a record consolidating their history.
Step by step
Enable the payment methods you want (cash, cheque, HelloAsso, Stripe, PayPal) and customise the public form: banner, button, background image and thank-you message. The link can be shared immediately, and a button widget can be embedded on your external pages.
Create a campaign targeting a funding Action, write the email body with the built-in editor, generate a QR code and send the appeal in bulk to your recipients. Every donation received online is recorded and linked to the donor.
Approve or invalidate each donation from the list — every operation is recorded in the audit log. The tax receipt is generated as a PDF and emailed to the donor from the module configuration.
Schedule automatic reminders by email or SMS (editor, attachments, periodic triggering) or send reminders manually. The dashboard shows the approved / pending counters and trend charts of donations by day, week or month.
Where this module really pays off
Charities and NGOs: online fundraising via HelloAsso, Stripe or PayPal, PDF tax receipts and automatic donor reminders.
Volunteering and humanitarian work: a customisable donation form (banner, button, thank-you message), campaigns with QR codes and bulk sending to recipients.
Foundations and public-interest associations: funding projects (Actions) with a dedicated target, tracking of approved and pending amounts, and trend charts by day, week or month.
Multi-cause associations: cash and cheque payments with customisable instructions, manual approval of donations and an audit log of operations.
Frequently asked questions
Which payment methods does the Donations module accept?
You enable the methods you want directly in the module: cash, cheque (with customisable instructions), and online payment via HelloAsso, Stripe and PayPal. Online donations go through a secure checkout, and the payment is recorded automatically on confirmation.
Is the tax receipt generated and sent automatically?
The receipt is generated as a PDF from a configurable template (organisation details, purpose, signatory, signature) and can be emailed to the donor. It is a donation tax receipt produced by eBrigade, not a pre-filled Cerfa form (the official French administrative form); sending is managed from the module configuration.
Can donors be sent reminders automatically?
Yes. You create automatic reminder rules by email or SMS, with a message editor, attachments and periodic triggering. Manual reminders remain possible at any time from the donor list, and the SMS credit balance is shown before sending.
What is the difference between a campaign and an Action?
An Action is a funding project (name, description, target) that can be displayed on the donation form. A campaign is an appeal linked to an Action: you write the email, generate a QR code and send it in bulk to the chosen recipients, then track the donations collected.
How do you track fundraising progress?
The dashboard shows counters for approved and pending donations, the amounts collected and trend charts by day, week or month. Each donation can be approved, invalidated or deleted, and these operations are recorded in an audit log.
Does the Donations module work with eBrigade accounting?
Online payments go through eBrigade’s shared Payment methods module. If you use the Accounting module, you consolidate all your financial flows there, donations included, and export them to your accountant.
