eBrigade Accreditation of activities module
Control activity authorisations by organisation
No more activities organised without the required accreditation, and no more expired accreditations slipping through unnoticed. You define once and for all which activity types require which accreditation, with strict or flexible sign-up limits, selectable levels and optional propagation down your structure, and you can see at a glance which accreditations are valid and which need renewing.
These buttons are about the full eBrigade subscription: this module is included at no extra cost in every plan.
Two-level catalogue of approvals (categories and types): authorise each activity type, set strict or flexible sign-up limits and selectable values (levels), pass the rules down to child organisations and track validity dates with a valid / not valid status and a dedicated filter.
What is the eBrigade Accreditation of activities module?
A two-level accreditation catalogue (categories and types): authorise each activity type, set strict or flexible sign-up limits and selectable values (levels), pass rules down to child organisations and track validity dates with a valid / not valid status and a dedicated filter. It is included at no extra cost in every eBrigade plan.
Why use Accreditation of activities?
Letting a branch run an operation it is not accredited for, or letting an accreditation expire without noticing, directly exposes your organisation: quotas exceeded, activities outside the accreditation, compliance found wanting on the day of an inspection. When these authorisations live in scattered spreadsheets, specific to each section and each activity type, nobody can say within seconds who is actually up to date.
What Accreditation of activities changes in eBrigade
The module organises your accreditations into categories and types, and links them to the relevant activity types. For each one, you set a sign-up limit (strict or flexible), any selectable levels and propagation to child organisations. Every accreditation granted has start and end dates, and its valid / not valid status is calculated automatically — with a filter and counters to isolate the authorisations to renew in one click.
What you can do with Accreditation of activities
Group your accreditations into categories, then create as many types as you need within them. You can also merge one category into another to reorganise the catalogue without re-entering everything.
For each linked activity type, set a maximum number of sign-ups. In strict mode, the quota is locked; in flexible mode, it can still be exceeded — you keep control case by case.
A single accreditation can offer several selectable levels (name, short code and associated limit). Ideal for splitting an accreditation into tiers without creating a separate type for each variant.
When set to propagate, an accreditation held by a parent organisation covers its child organisations according to your structure, never another branch. Inheriting organisations see it applied without re-entry, and editing remains reserved to the organisation that holds it.
Every accreditation granted has a start date and an end date. eBrigade calculates its valid / not valid status from the end date and displays the corresponding label, with no manual calculation.
The accreditations view shows the number of valid and not valid accreditations in real time, with a dedicated filter to instantly isolate those that need renewing — useful before an inspection or audit.
Step by step
From the settings, add your categories, then the accreditation types they contain. A duplicate-code check prevents data-entry errors.
For each accreditation type, choose the relevant activity types, set the sign-up limit (strict or flexible), define any selectable levels and enable propagation to child organisations.
Enter the start and end of validity for each accreditation granted. The valid / not valid status updates automatically, according to each manager’s permissions.
Filter the list on not valid accreditations and use the counters to spot what needs renewing, without opening each organisation one by one.
Where this module really pays off
Approved associations: tracking of prefectoral or ministerial accreditations organised into categories and types, with strict or flexible sign-up limits and validity status per activity.
Fire and rescue services (SDIS) & civil protection: sector accreditations propagated to child organisations according to the structure, with validity dates and a valid / not valid filter to prepare for an inspection.
Training centres & federations: authorisations by activity type split into selectable levels (tiers), with sign-up quotas controlled per site.
Multi-site networks: a centralised accreditation catalogue that can be reorganised (merging categories); a propagated accreditation can only be edited in the organisation that holds it.
Frequently asked questions
Can we manage accreditations at several levels — national, regional, local branch?
Yes. Each organisation enters its own accreditations, and an accreditation can be set to propagate to its child organisations according to the eBrigade structure. An organisation that inherits it sees it applied as read-only: it is edited where it is held. The lowest level of the structure relies on the accreditations of the organisations above it.
What is the difference between a strict limit and a flexible limit?
The limit sets the maximum number of people who can sign up for an activity under that accreditation. In strict mode, this quota is locked; in flexible mode, it can still be exceeded. You choose the behaviour activity type by activity type.
What are an accreditation’s “selectable values”?
They are levels or tiers that you attach to a single accreditation, each with its own name, short code and associated limit. This lets you split an accreditation into several variants without creating a separate type for each one.
How do we know which accreditations have expired?
Every accreditation granted has an end date. eBrigade automatically calculates its valid / not valid status and displays the number of accreditations in each state, with a dedicated filter to isolate those to renew in one click.
Is this module linked to other HR modules such as training or accreditations?
An accreditation works with activity types: only accredited organisations can create them, and its limits cap the number of sign-ups. It works on its own, without depending on the Training, Accreditation export or Rank modules.
Is the module included in eBrigade?
Yes. Accreditation management is one of eBrigade’s included features, at no extra cost: it can be switched on in one click from the Modules page.
