eBrigade HDS hosting module
Host your health data in compliance with the ANS
As soon as your organisation collects or processes health data — medical records, fitness for duty, vaccinations, intervention records — its hosting must be HDS-certified (Health Data Hosting) by the Agence du Numérique en Santé (ANS, France’s digital health agency). This level of hosting ensures that your data is stored on certified infrastructure, with the contractual commitments, audits and traceability required by French regulations. Activation is on quotation, with no technical migration for you to handle.
Activation on quote: this button is about dedicated HDS hosting, not a free trial.
Hosting of your health data on infrastructure certified HDS (French health-data hosting) by the ANS, meeting your legal obligations, without changing software.
What is the eBrigade HDS hosting module?
Hosting of your health data on infrastructure certified HDS (Health Data Hosting) by the ANS (France’s digital health agency), in line with your legal obligations, without changing software. It is available as an option, so each organisation can enable it according to its needs.
Why enable HDS hosting?
As soon as you handle health data — casualty assessments, patient information for home care, medical data on responders — you are subject to the legal obligation of HDS-certified hosting. Hosting this data on a standard server engages your liability and exposes your organisation to penalties.
What HDS hosting changes in eBrigade
The HDS option hosts your sensitive data on infrastructure certified as a Health Data Host (Hébergeur de Données de Santé), meeting ANS requirements. You meet your regulatory obligations without changing software or processes. Activation is on quotation, depending on your situation.
What you can do with HDS hosting
The infrastructure hosting your data is certified as a Health Data Host by the Agence du Numérique en Santé, in accordance with Article L.1111-8 of the French Public Health Code. The certification covers the hosting, not any modification of the eBrigade software.
Enabling the option comes with the regulatory hosting contract, which formalises the commitments of the certified host, including the subcontracting clauses required by the regulations.
The isolation and enhanced access controls applicable to health data are part of the certified host’s services. The precise arrangements are set out in the HDS hosting contract.
The access logging and traceability required by the HDS framework are handled at the hosting infrastructure level, as part of the host’s certification.
The backup policy, retention and reversibility procedure are defined in the HDS hosting contract and provided by the certified host, independently of how the application operates.
The switchover to the HDS environment is managed by the eBrigade technical teams. The software’s interface and features stay the same; only the hosting infrastructure changes.
Step by step
Contact the eBrigade team to define which data within your organisation falls under the HDS obligation. A quote is drawn up based on the scope identified.
Activation switches your instance to hosting certified as a Health Data Host, meeting the requirements of the Agence du Numérique en Santé, with no service interruption.
You have hosting that stands up to regulatory inspections. HDS certification attestations are provided and can be added to your compliance file.
Where this module really pays off
SAAD and SSIAD (French home-help and home-nursing services): certified hosting for beneficiaries’ medical data, in line with legal HDS obligations.
SAMU (French emergency medical service) and healthcare facilities: regulatory compliance for health data processed via eBrigade, without changing software.
Medical and rescue associations: HDS compliance after assessment of the scope, activation on quotation with assisted migration.
Frequently asked questions
Which organisations are subject to the HDS obligation?
Any organisation that collects, processes or hosts personal health data: home care, SAMU, medical associations, organisations handling casualty assessments or patient data.
Does HDS hosting change anything in the day-to-day use of eBrigade?
No. The interface and features stay the same. Only the hosting infrastructure changes to be HDS-compliant.
How do you enable the HDS option?
Activation is on quotation after an assessment of your needs. Contact the eBrigade team to define the scope of the data concerned and the migration arrangements.
Where is the data physically hosted?
On the HDS-certified infrastructure, hosting is located exclusively in France. Outside the HDS option, eBrigade hosts in the European Union (France and Germany), with no transfer outside the EU and no reliance on a non-European cloud. Details are on the Security & compliance page.
How long does activation take?
48 hours after the quote is approved. The switchover is carried out by the eBrigade technical teams, with no service interruption and no migration for you to handle: only the hosting infrastructure changes, while the interface and features stay the same.
What happens to my data if I cancel the option?
The reversibility procedure, backup policy and retention periods are defined in the HDS hosting contract signed on activation, and provided by the certified host independently of how the application operates.
