Scanning, from the app
The phone camera is enough, and the scanner built into the app is faster still: the code opens the right record and the actions that go with it, without hunting through a list.

You switch these actions on one by one under Settings › QR codes & barcodes: open condition reports on vehicles without opening assignment, keep storage locations read-only. Consumables can also be read from the manufacturer barcode — nothing to stick on.
Frequently asked questions
Is the app available on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The eBrigade app is native on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). It works on a weak connection and keeps the essentials in cache.
Do responders need to create an account?
No. They receive an invitation link by SMS or email and reach their space in seconds, with no paperwork. Adoption is fast, including among people who are not comfortable with software.
What can be scanned, and what happens then?
Vehicles, equipment, uniforms, consumables, storage locations, rooms and staff badges. Scanning opens a quick-access window on the phone with the actions your organisation has enabled: open the record, assign to an activity, hand out equipment, fill in a condition report, or update stock on the spot.
Does the app work offline?
What is already on screen stays readable if the network drops, and an entry that fails to send is kept on the device and goes out again on its own once the connection is back. Loading new data or opening a record for the first time still needs a connection, so it is not a full offline mode.
