What is the eBrigade Exports & reports module?
The eBrigade reporting engine: hundreds of ready-to-use reports sorted by category, which you filter and then export on screen, to Excel or as a text file — with your own reusable, shareable column templates. It is included at no extra cost in every eBrigade plan.
Why a dedicated export engine?
Pulling out a staff list, a total of hours per person or an invoicing statement always ends in the same chore: copying data from eBrigade into a spreadsheet, reformatting dates, cross-referencing by section and activity by hand, then starting again the following month. Each manager runs their own extractions, the figures differ from one department to another, and nobody can say in a few seconds how many active volunteers there are, how many hours have been logged or which training courses are about to expire within the requested scope.
The right figure, in the right format, straight away
Select a report from a catalogue sorted by category, filter it by section, period, activity type or skill, and the result appears in a sortable, searchable table. In one click, export it to a ready-to-use Excel file (.xlsx) or a text file. Your recurring extractions become templates you rerun in one click and share with your team — no more spreadsheets rebuilt by hand.
What you can do with Exports & reports
More than 70 standard reports sorted by category cover staff, participation and hours, training, invoicing and revenue, organisations, logistics and casualties. Each opens from the exports home page and comes with the filters suited to its content.
Any report on screen can be downloaded as a server-generated Excel file (.xlsx) — frozen first row, bold header in your instance’s colours, automatic column widths — or as a semicolon-separated text file for loading into another tool.
Filter by section in the tree (including sub-sections), by specific date, date range or year, by activity type and by skill. Many reports also offer dedicated views: expense report status, with or without reinforcements, DPS/training family, casualty or participation views…
Choose the columns to keep for a given report and save the selection as a named template, private or shared with all users. Your templates are grouped on the exports home page and rerun in one click, with no need to redo the settings.
Some reports are presented as a section × activity type pivot table, with row and column totals, exportable as is — ideal for a consolidated activity report across a family of sections.
On screen, the result is paginated, sortable and searchable, with secondary columns hidden by default and direct printing. Every extraction is logged (report, author, section, number of rows, period, duration) for audit.
Step by step
Browse the catalogue of exports grouped by category (Staff, Participation, Training, Invoicing, Organisations, Logistics, Casualties…) and select the relevant section in the tree, with or without its sub-sections.
Depending on the report, specify a date, a date range or a year, an activity type, a skill, and specific views (expense report status, with or without reinforcements, DPS/training family, etc.).
The report appears in a paginated, sortable and searchable table. Secondary columns are hidden by default to avoid scrolling and can be switched on via the column selector.
In one click, download the result as Excel (.xlsx), with a frozen header in your instance’s colours, or as a semicolon-separated text file that can be imported elsewhere.
Save your column selection as a custom export template, private or shared with the whole team, and rerun it in one click from the exports home page.
Where this module really pays off
Civil protection association: at year end, produce the statement of hours logged per volunteer, training included, for the activity report, in one Excel export per section.
Fire and rescue service: pull the active headcount by rank and the section × activity type pivot table for the annual report, with no re-keying.
Organisation that invoices its services: extract DPS and training revenue over a period, with or without reinforcements, for accounting reconciliation.
Training manager: list upcoming SST/GQS refresher courses (French workplace first-aid and life-saving gestures certifications) and missing agreements, filtered by skill, and send them in Excel.
Multi-site organisation: produce the detailed directory of a family of sections (emails, radio IDs, approvals) simply by selecting the level in the tree.
Casualty unit: export the list of casualties and the transport statistics for an event to send to the authorities.
Frequently asked questions
Are exports included in eBrigade or are they a paid option?
The export engine is included in eBrigade at no extra cost. Access is controlled by permissions: you need reporting access to view reports, and a separate permission unlocks the Excel and text download buttons. The reporting feature must also be enabled on your instance.
In which formats can a report be downloaded?
Two download formats are available: Excel (.xlsx), generated on the server with a frozen, coloured header and automatic column widths, and a semicolon-separated text file (CSV). The report can also be viewed and printed directly on screen, in a sortable, searchable table.
Can I save my own exports so I don’t have to set everything up again each time?
Yes. For a given report, select the columns to keep and save it all as a named custom export template. You can keep it private or share it with all users. Your templates are listed on the exports home page and rerun in one click; the owner can edit or delete them.
Which data areas do the reports cover?
The catalogue covers in particular staff (headcount, addresses, duplicates, incomplete records), participation and total hours, training and refresher courses, invoicing and revenue (DPS and training, with or without reinforcements), organisations (directories, emails, radio IDs, approvals), logistics (vehicles, equipment, uniforms, stock) and casualties (lists, transport, statistics). The reports shown depend on the active modules and your permissions.
What happens if the export covers a very large volume of data?
The extraction runs with an extended memory limit and execution time on the server. If too wide a date range exceeds capacity, a message explicitly invites you to rerun it over a shorter period. Every extraction is also logged with its number of rows and execution time.
How is this different from the Excel import module?
They are opposite operations. The Import module brings data into eBrigade from an Excel file (staff, membership dues…). Exports & reports take data out of eBrigade: you query your existing data, filter it and download it in Excel or text format to use elsewhere.
