The Departmental Unions of Firefighters are large-scale associations, necessary for the daily life of firefighter staff. To help you accomplish your mission, the eBrigade software supports you in the management of your Union.
What is a UDSP?
The Departmental Union of Firefighters is an association known as the law of 1901. These members include the staff of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of the department to which it is attached. There are 97 departmental unions and 13 regional unions. The union’s role is to advise and federate the various associations and JSP section of the department. It also represents firefighters and defends the interests of its members , whoever they may be: professional or volunteer firefighters, former or young firefighters, administrative, technical and specialized staff. In addition, the UDSP serves as a relay between national associations or institutions, such as the Œuvre des Pupilles or the National Federation of Firefighters of France (FNSPF), and its members. In addition, the union can participate in the Federation’s training courses to share administrative and financial management advice.
How is it organised?
Generally governed by a Board of Directors (BOD) whose representatives are elected by the members, the Union is led by a President and an Executive Committee (EC) elected by the BOD.
Several specialized commissions make up the UDSP. These make it possible to relay the actions undertaken by the union at the regional and federal level. Their goal is to create the opportunity to organize large-scale actions. As a result, it facilitates the transmission of information and exchanges between firefighters on a national scale.
What are its missions?
The UDSP is responsible for several missions depending on the commissions that make it up. The social commission, for example, supervises the support, the management of insurance-related files and the payment of benefits. The eBrigade software allows you to follow up on your members so that you can intervene with them when they need to. The commission also has the responsibility of defending the moral and material interests of the members and providing assistance to the families of those in difficult social conditions.

Management and organization assistance
It oversees the organization of events and activities such as sports competitions, conventions, recreation, history and conservation, with the support of these commissions. The union also supports sporting events organized by the SDIS, rescue centers, associations or members of the UDSP; as well as development projects carried out by the CIS, SDIS or others.
Young firefighters (JSP)
The union is also in charge of JSP training. It ensures the proper coordination and functioning of the sections. It is firefighters or volunteers who are able to carry out the mission who supervise the JSP training. These are made up of 4 successive cycles that combine both civic education and sports activity. The union is also in charge of organising JSP events such as the JSP cross or the technical gathering. Thanks to the eBrigade software, you can fully manage the schedules and organization of activities including training, trainers, diplomas and skills.
Provisional personal rescue systems (DPS)
The DPS covers all the first aid resources (material and human) made available at the request of a responsible third party. They are necessary when organising events (cultural, sporting, etc.) or to cover a seasonal event. Our management tool also allows you to organize your DPS, from the administrative part to the event in the field. eBrigade governs your invoicing thanks to the CRM module that manages your customers, invoices, reminders and quotes and the Intervention module that generates a real command post allowing you to direct your teams and resources.

First aid training
Firefighters are the main players in training the public in first aid in France. When the Civil Security or the FNSPF authorises the Union, it can organise first aid training for the general public. These training courses are aimed at several profiles, including companies, high schools, administrations and professionals. Several training courses are offered depending on the union, such as the PSC Prevention and Civic Aid certificate or the Occupational First Aid (SST) training.
