Rescue centres (CS) can be made up of reserve/volunteer firefighters (SPV). These are agents who carry out missions during their leisure time, on the sidelines of their profession, studies or family life. CSs can carry out several missions simultaneously. For example, they can leave for an intervention for a firefighting mission and at the same time for an intervention for a civil security mission.

The firefighters of France are managed by the SDIS (departmental fire and rescue service) which organizes the activity of all volunteer or professional firefighter centers.

Rescue centres can also be made up of professional firefighters. Some eBrigade features such as logistics management are valid for both types of firefighters (professional or volunteer firefighters), it allows you to know for example if the logistics are operational and ready to use.

On-call management

Volunteer availability

The reserve firefighters go to the station when they are available, it’s voluntary. The application references all the volunteers as well as their availability. Thus, all human resources are centralized on the same interface. The registration of reservists for on-call activities is simple; When a guard is created, each volunteer is notified by email. All they have to do is register immediately from home via the app. It is also possible to automatically register available reservists on a standby.

Real-time visibility

The manager thus has real-time and permanent access to human resources engaged in interventions. When the SPVs return, you can fill in a handrail and draw up reports quickly: create tables representing all the presences/absences of staff during the activities of the branches.

And what if a person is no longer available for childcare? Ebrigade allows you to replace the absent person directly via the application: the person can enter to be a substitute if he or she wishes. Thanks to all its features, the organization is made efficient and fluid, without any headaches.

Grade

By consulting the personal files of the SPVs you will also be able to instantly know their rank thanks to pictograms indicating their hierarchy, so you can know if you are dealing with a lieutenant, a corporal, a warrant officer or a young firefighter (jsp).

Rapid and effective mobilization

Thanks to eBrigade, volunteers can mobilise if necessary in a very short time, the mobilisation is optimised and responsive.

The application makes it possible to automatically assign the on-call staff to the equipment and vehicles of the rescue centre according to their skills (ambulance licence / apparatus leader / ESP etc.). This automation takes into account the availability of staff: planning is efficient and fast for the head of the guard.

Automation

This planning interface and the automation possibilities are a real time-saver for the center managers. For example, they have to create a roster every day and that takes a lot of time. eBrigade makes it easy to create on-call rosters over several weeks. This allows you to create all the guard boards in advance. You can choose the required workforce and the required skills. Thanks to the data in the application, the distribution of on-call shifts is done automatically !

One of the big benefits of the automated on-call roster by eBrigade concerns the volunteer firefighter personnel who will be assigned to the on-call duty only on certain days depending on their availability and skills.

Material resources

The features of eBrigade make it possible to manage operations efficiently. You have an overview of all the material resources available. The information is all centralized. You can manage all inventories (vehicles, clothing, equipment) in one place.

For example, if you need to mobilize vehicles for operations. They have the ability to see in real time which vehicles are being used and by whom.

Volunteer Tracking

Education

The application offers to create training activities. You can choose the type of training (initial, continuing, initiation, prerequisites, etc.), the number of people who will be able to enrol and the skills you will obtain following this training. When people want to register, they will have the option to go to a site describing the training.

Registration

Registration for these training activities can be open to internal and external staff at your rescue centre. You have the option to charge for the training for external members. This can make it possible, for example, to provide internal training for their members or to train the general public in first aid (PSC 1).

Competence

The members of the rescue centres must be constantly up to date in terms of skills. Indeed, some first aid diplomas have an annual validity that must be renewed regularly. With eBrigade you have a follow-up of all the skills of your staff members.

You can insert the skills of all staff, link continuous training and have access to a programmable hierarchy of skills. You can also add a start and end date, generate diplomas or even include one skill with another. With the addition of start and end dates, you will be able to immediately know if your skills are still valid or not (expired skills are in a different color than the others).

Becoming a firefighter

Indeed, to become a firefighter and remain one, physical fitness conditions for example are necessary, skills must be up to date and you must train regularly.

To become a volunteer firefighter, you must pass the firefighter competition , meet the eligibility criteria (French nationality for example). You must also meet the following conditions: medical fitness, physical condition (endurance).
