A soldier is a member of the civil service of the “regular” armed forces, i.e. an institution that defends the strategic interests of a state. They are under the orders of the Ministry of Defence, the President of the Republic (head of state) and the Ministry of the Interior. The military forces are made up of contract officers, volunteers who have chosen to enlist for a fixed period, career personnel (generally executives, non-commissioned officers and officers), or personnel enlisted by the State out of civic duty, as part of conscription.

The French armed forces are composed of the Air Force, the Army, the National Navy and the National Gendarmerie. They allow the maintenance of order and public safety.

A soldier can have a field activity, a command activity. Indeed, the implementation of an army requires a significant logistical and military command component. These different functions are often referred to as “echelons”: command echelon, logistics echelon, operational echelon.

Operational management

Planning and organization

With the increase in its workforce and the ever-increasing number of missions, we need a tool that ensures quality operational management. This is what eBrigade offers.

Activity

Any participation in a Reserve activity , whatever it is and whatever its level of hierarchy or request (e.g. training, various tasks, tactical field training, etc.), must be informed and followed up on eBrigade. You will present all the useful information of the activity (date(s) and times, meeting place, details relating to equipment and others…).

Absence information

Military personnel will also be able to provide information on all their absences, rest days or requests for replacement, which must then be authorised by a person with the necessary authorisations.

Courier Service

On the interface, there is an instant messenger that you can use whenever you want ! You will be able to write down your questions and everyone will be able to answer them. You can also circulate information of general interest.

Security and privacy

EBrigade is a pragmatic solution for emergency and rescue organizations. The application collects all the data and information useful for the organization and management of a service. We are therefore concerned about guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of the personal data collected and processed.

The interface has been implemented to ensure security. Each member has personal access to the application: a password and a username of their own. In addition, you can prioritize, organize, give the right authorizations to the right people to be able to act well and know the role of each one. Indeed, you will be able to manage the access rights for each user of your application. It is a question of defining what each person who connects will be allowed to do, or not, and what features they will have access to.

Centralization of information

Inventory visibility

The eBrigade interface provides a real-time view of everything related to logistics (equipment, vehicle, consumables, clothing). You have a global view of the stocks and you can manage them directly through the app.

Staff Tracking

For the section chiefs, keeping up with the staff is sometimes difficult. Indeed, finding out about and knowing the background, skills and evolution of each person is complicated. EBrigade thus allows you to know at a glance the commitments of each other and to know the personal information of each one. It is a tool that is updated as regularly as possible and can be consulted at any time. EBrigade also provides visibility on the availability of the reserve forces that the Army is able to provide at any given time.

Overview

The manager thus has real-time and permanent access to the human resources involved in the missions but also to the equipment made available. He can also find the schedule of the soldiers as well as their commitment to the activities. Thanks to this, you will be able to make reports at the start and end of the mission and write specific comments adapted to each activity.

Speed of action

EBrigade optimizes your time thanks to the centralization of data. The application allows you to sort and organize all the documentation. This saves time during research but also fights against the loss of documents. For example, when you want to search for information about a person, centralization will allow you to consult it in a few clicks : the time it takes to manage staff is efficient and fast.

Intuitive tool

In addition, the application is a very intuitive tool : the different tabs present on the product are easy to use. All information is coordinated. For example, thanks to the data entered in the interface, there is no need to search for schedules to find who is present and manage the distribution of missions: the data is in agreement and management is done automatically !

Responsiveness

The eBrigade tool can also help meet response times for missions. The information is all grouped together so no loss of information. Notifications will appear when the due dates approach.

Joining the Army

To be part of the French Army, you can enlist as a military reservist. You will receive military training. You can also become an officer or non-commissioned officer, for this you will have to join a military school (e.g. special school or preparatory classes of Saint Cyr), you will have to pass the officer exam and pass the eligibility tests. You have to have a certain sporting ability.

Grade

Military command generally follows the hierarchy, reflected by the ranks (colonel, adjutant, sergeant, second lieutenant, commander, corporal, lieutenant colonel, major or lieutenant). Thanks to eBrigade, when you consult the personal files of the soldiers, you will be able to instantly know the military rank of the person thanks to pictograms indicating their insignia.
